Papers are research outputs and disciplined product discovery. Nothing enters the toolkit until a real analysis needs it.

Auditing and reconciling Senegal’s social accounting matrices
A reproducibility, reconciliation, backtesting, and extension study of Senegal’s official SAM series, using ANSD’s supply-use tables and institutional accounts to cover 2014–2023.
02 / Toolkits
edikit
The first in a growing family of Tekmeris toolkits: a Python package for reproducible construction and auditing of national social accounting matrices from official statistics.
Official-data readers, concordances, and accounting checks at ingestion.
02edikit.model
Account taxonomies, balancing, coverage assertions, and per-cell diagnostics.
03edikit.report
Audit-ready workbooks with live formulas, totals, and balance checks.
04edikit.pipeline
End-to-end generation and verification workflows built on the tested library.
03 / System architecture
One accountable chain from source to decision.
The durable asset is the accumulated system of workflows, concordances, validation tests, model histories, and documented corrections.
01DATA
Register
Official sources, provenance, vintages, and concordances.
02MODEL
Construct
Explicit taxonomies, balancing, assumptions, and transformations.
03CHECK
Verify
Deterministic tests, diagnostics, and clean execution.
04DECIDE

04 / Tekmeris
From one-off analysis to cumulative infrastructure.
Tekmeris—pronounced “tek-MEH-riss” or “tèk-MÉ-riss”—is a research-led computational economics venture. It turns rigorous papers, reproducible methods, and maintained software into systems institutions can update, inspect, and trust.
The problem
Economic decisions still rely on fragmented data, opaque assumptions, and models that are expensive to rebuild.
The approach
Use AI to reduce repetitive model-building while deterministic checks and qualified experts retain authority.
The operating rule
Every paper leaves behind a reusable capability.
Each analysis should make the next one faster, cheaper, and easier to verify. Over time, the accumulated workflows, concordances, accounting rules, validation tests, model histories, and documented corrections become the durable asset.
01
Reference research
Test a scientific question on real data and publish the evidence, code, and limitations.
02
Reusable component
Extract stable methods into maintained libraries, schemas, and model templates.
03
Decision workflow
Combine validated components with versioning, scenarios, auditability, and clear exports.
04
Learning system
Preserve corrections, model performance, forecast errors, and user evidence to improve the next version.
Long-term architecture
A connected family of economic systems.
This is the direction of travel, not a claim that every component already exists. The current research and toolkits establish the verified foundations.
01
Model Factory
Validated, versioned, and documented economic model assets.
02
Forecast Engine
Forecasts, scenarios, uncertainty ranges, and performance records.
03
Benchmark Platform
Defensible indices, peer comparisons, and methodological decompositions.
04
Decision Studio
Inspectable objectives, constraints, trade-offs, and policy portfolios.
05
Economic Twin
A jurisdiction-level system joining data, models, forecasts, and institutional memory.
tek-MEH-riss
The name
Proof, not plausibility.
Tekmeris comes from the Greek tekmērion: Aristotle’s term for decisive proof, the sign from which a conclusion necessarily follows. It captures the standard behind the work: transparent evidence, explicit reasoning, and results that can be checked.
Global in ambition, with Africa as a high-impact proving ground.
